Wimberley Valley
Republican Group
Contributions &  Dues
Wimberley Valley Republican Group is completely
funded through membership dues and donations.
Dues are $20. for adults and students $5.00 per year.

With these dues and donations we host a meeting
on the last Sunday of each month giving our
membership the opportunity to meet our local
Republican candidates and hear them speak. We
serve drinks and refreshments and encourage our
members to mingle after the meeting and share
ideas. In addition to this we host several special
events during the year.

In 2009 we took a bus trip to the Alamo for the San
Antonio Tea Party on April 15th. We sponsored and
built a float entry for our local Independence Day
Parade where we won "Most Patriotic". We
organized and hosted the annual Lincoln~Reagan
Dinner at the TDS Game Ranch. We hosted a
beautiful and successful luncheon for our First Lady
Anita Perry here in Wimberley. We had a wonderful
Christmas Party during the holidays to share time
with our fellow members.

In 2008 and 2010 we gave a "Candidates Forum"
event at the 7a Ranch in Pioneer Town where the
guests and members were able to meet our
candidates before voting.  We organized our
precincts and walked door to door with candidates
information and signed up voters.

Please check our "Coming Events" tab on the
website for details of what we have planned for
2010. The volunteers and elected officials that
contribute to a better county and a better state
invite you to get involved, make a difference and
shape the political debate.

Please consider helping us fund these events and
our goals for the upcoming election with a donation.
"The two enemies
of the people are
criminals and
government, so let
us tie the second
down with the
chains of the
Constitution so the
second will not
become the
legalized version of
the first."

~Thomas Jefferson
"I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more
efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote
welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but
to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old
ones that do violence to the Constitution or that have failed their purpose,
or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden. I will not
attempt to discover whether legislation is "needed'' before I have first
determined whether it is constitutionally permissible. And if I should later
be attacked for neglecting my constituents "interests,'' I shall reply that I
was informed that their main interest is liberty and that in that cause I am
doing the very best I can.” ~Barry Goldwater~
